Make a Will Online with GlossLegal

Are all my Assets & Property covered in an Online Will?

The answer is YES, except those assets and property which are jointly owned such as joint accounts or joint house / flat ownerships and there is no declaration that they are not 'joint' or 'joint tenants'.

Also if you have placed assets and property in formal Trusts, then those will not be covered by your Will. In most cases this will only apply to Life Assurance policies placed in Trust and Family Trusts created by wealthier relations.

Therefore your GlossLegal Will covers all investments; cash, stocks & shares, company shares, cars, furniture, jewellery, flats, houses and even foreign property [although there could be conflicting rules in those countries over who will inherit].

By the operation of UK law the Will does not need to state exactly what you own. It is a matter of legal fact what assets and property are owned beneficially by you at death, and the Will only needs to talk about your 'estate'. [This can make the Will rather 'boring', but as Wills become public documents after your death, may be this is a good thing?!].

It is also safer not to mention specific assets and property in your Will, unless they are personal possessions which you will never sell, as it is likely in your lifetime that you will sell and change those assets eg. by moving house / flat, or selling cars and investment changes, etc.
